In 1958, a scientist who worked for Brookhaven laboratory named William Higginbotham, created a public game for exhibitors called “Tennis for Two” that was a way for people not to get bored during the tour. Originally the game was created to measure electric currents for people to see and use for entertainment. However he did not patten for it since he did not believe the government will not have much interest in a ball going back and forth. Years later it was taken to arcades then put on the first console, Atari. It was then renamed “Pong”. This game inspired others into playing and try to create more. Through out the years there have been more games and more gaming companies like Nintendo, Sony, Ubisoft, activision, etc. There are many consoles and games out there and people have different opinions about them. From Nintendo vs. Sega to Playstation vs. Xbox. In reality video games will always be awesome in my book. Welcome to my site!
